Today is a celebration
of all that has made you
the special person you are.”
The above quote is from the birthday card my mom gave me today., and it really made me think.
Nothing special necessarily happens when you turn 21. You don’t instantly change. Though nothing life changing happened today, there are definitely lots of special, important, wonderful, and even not so wonderful things that have happened in my life thus far. These moments have shaped me to be the person I am today. There I things in my life I wish have turned out differently, choices I wish I hadn’t made and, things I wish I could redo; but if things were any different the person I am today at 21 would be different.
Thinking about how the past has shaped me, makes me thankful for everything that has happened, the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful.
